On September 19th, Chris’ Corner held an event seeking donations for those working towards getting back on their feet. We asked our local community for any donations of clothing, toiletries, and other basic essential needs that we could offer to individuals who could benefit from them.

When you’re trying to get your life back on track, we know how difficult it is to justify spending money on new work clothes, shower essentials, home goods, and everything else in between. We believe no one should be afraid to seek employment or other opportunities that could improve their future due to fear of being judged on their attire. We don’t want members of our community to feel that they have to choose between having food on the table or being able to show up for a job interview, dressed confidently so that they can continue to put food on the table.

A lot of individuals in recovery just need a little support to propel themselves towards a successful future. With winter fast approaching, we know how fast the temperature drops and how difficult it can be to continue taking the right steps and making productive choices when you’re unable to keep yourself warm. We’re here to help give you a “leg up” to achieve those goals and aspirations you’ve set for yourself.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of support we received from our community. We collected a multitude of clothes, jackets, shoes, dress/work clothes, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, toiletries, bedding, amongst other items.

If you, your family, or someone you know, could benefit from any of these items, or want to know if we were donated a different item you need, please do not hesitate to reach out to Lisa Trusas or Amy Leone.
